Yesterday it was raining, and today the raining continued. I know we need the rain, and I’m thankful for it, but I do get tired of all the mud. 
But, Gabriel and I did have some fun playing in the creek! It was full to overflowing, so I went down to have some fun (:)) and clear it out a bit. I took Gabe with me, since he’d been cooped up in his pen most of the day, and he sure did love it!
He splashed through the water, ran, got a drink, sniffed, dunked in his nose, and everything! Meanwhile, I’m trying to clear the creek, standing on a limb that went across the creek, and the limb broke. Needless to say, my foot went under. By the time we got back to the house, my socks were soaked, and so was the bottom of my skirt! Gabriel was wet and muddy, but still wagging his tail. 
My grandparents came to visit us today, and Gran brought me down some books to read from the Library (Horse books) and got me a new penknife! I’ll have to take a picture of it for you. It’s silver and actually has a clip on it! 
And, I’m still reading Raising Maidens of Virtue. When Mom and I get a chance to sit down together, we can read it together. I think that would be great, I’d love to do the study with her!!
