When I walked in to the turkey building this morning to check on the chicks and baby birds, I got a surprise! There were only two baby wrens left. I guess Wrennie came in earlier and showed the other two how to get out, or something.
Anyway, I lifted the burlap so the chicks and birds could get out (the chicks can go on a slatted platform, meant for the turkeys) but those baby birds absolutely would NOT go out the door. They were peeping and peeping and peeping.. I guess maybe they were hungry? So, I reckon Wrennie will go in and possibly feed them, and take them out with her.
The chicks were loving the new freedom on the platform.
It has a roost on it too, so they were roosting on that, flying around, etc. We really need to put them back over in the rooster pen, but it’s just so muddy over there. I’ll have to get some pictures later, if I can remember.
