Psaltery and Storm

Junior the rooster is now known as Daniel, or for short, Danny. We had to rename him due to the fact I shouldn’t have named them both with J’s. We started saying Junior when we meant Jacob, and vise versa. So, since everyone liked Jacob’s name, I had to change Junior’s. So he’s now known as Dan, Danny, or Daniel. At least it sounds better than Junior. :P

There was a pretty big and bad storm that came through our area last night. We didn’t get the bad part of it, praise the Lord!, but some places around here did. Dad said when he was coming home from work that the road was green with all the leaves that the heavy winds had blown down. I took this picture out of our front window. I love how the camera shows up in it. :D If you enlarge it, you can see the rain outside.

This picture I took from my window, and you can see the rainy view outside. Aside from the flash glare in the window, this is the one that actually turned out the best, the clearest, and with the most color. :) I was going to smudge that out in GIMP, but it didn’t turn out too good. LOL. It rained for a while, and the waterhole is now filled up again. I took Light Bill and Jack down for a bath today in it, and they sure enjoyed it. :D

This is a picture that hangs in my room of a little girl and a horse. My Aunt gave it to me. :) I was just busy taking pictures and got this one, so I thought I might as well post it… :–)

I’m playing the psaltery pretty good now. It takes lots of practice on the fluid arm movements, but I think I’m getting that down pretty well. When the little girl I babysit comes up, she is also learning how to play it. She gets stuck at remembering to ‘glide’ the bow across and not hit it instead. LOL. From what she’s learned already she can play Mary Had A Little Lamb and a beginner piano tune I picked out for her on the psaltery, it’s called Stepping Up, Stepping Down, Then A Skip.

Her grandmother wants to teach her the piano (since that is what they have) but I don’t think the little girl has any interest in it. At least, she hasn’t ever shown any. But she loves and is very eager to learn how to play my psaltery!!!

And, a new Scripture Wallpaper that I’ve made out of a picture of Gabriel. :)

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
Romans 15:1

Wow.. This post fits into a lot of categories.. I should really learn to post about one thing at a time!!
